IMHSeminar about ‘Sleep’ - 02/05/2024

On 2 May 2024, departments GE34 and GE35 will jointly host two international guest speakers on the theme of sleep. Prof. Luciana Besedovsky will deliver a lecture on the role of sleep in our immune system. Additionally, prof. Antoine Adamantidis will delve into how our brain activity changes during sleep and the potential clinical implications thereof.

 

Lecture I – ‘Role of circadian rhythm in inflammation and inflammatory disease’

Guest speaker: Prof. dr. Luciana Besedovsky (Institute of Medical Psychology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich)

 

Lecture II – ‘Optogenetic manipulation of sleep waves to promote brain plasticity and repair’

Guest speaker: Prof. dr. Antoine Adamantidis (Department of BioMedical Research at University of Bern)
