Het Federaal Kenniscentrum voor de Gezondheidszorg (KCE) lanceert 2 nieuwe oproepen voor klinische studies heeft gelanceerd:
1. KCE Trials 2024 investigator-led call (deadline 24 september 2024)

Wat en voor wie?
Het KCE Trials programma is gericht op pragmatische en praktijkgerichte klinische studies die relevante vragen inzake klinische doeltreffendheid en kosten-effectiviteit beantwoorden. Dit omvat studies waarin twee behandelingsopties worden vergeleken (waarbij 'geen behandeling' een van de mogelijke behandelingsopties is) die in de klinische praktijk voor een bepaalde indicatie al in gebruik zijn, maar nog niet voldoende met elkaar worden vergeleken (m.a.w. welke van de twee behandelingsopties in de dagelijkse praktijk het beste werkt). Het type interventie binnen de scope van het KCE Trials programma beperkt zich niet enkel tot geneesmiddelen of medische hulpmiddelen maar omvat ook psychotherapie, dieet/life-style interventies, diagnostische testen of heelkundige ingrepen.
Ondersteuning door HIRUZ
Onderzoekers met een onderzoeksvoorstel zullen, net zoals vorige jaren, de steun van de Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) van het Health, Innovation and Research Institute (HIRUZ) krijgen om de voorgestelde klinische studie in te dienen en uit te voeren. What and for who?
The KCE Trials programme focuses on pragmatic and practice-oriented clinical studies which show comparative effectiveness and clear value for money by a potential return on investment. Those studies compare two treatment options (with ‘no treatment’ being one of the possible treatment options) that are already in use in clinical practice in a given indication, but are not yet sufficiently directly compared (i.e. which of the two treatment options work best in daily practice). Accepted study interventions are not limited to drugs or medical devices but also include a broad range of interventions, such as psychotherapy, diet, diagnostic tests, surgery or ways to deliver health care.
Support of HIRUZ
Investigators with a research proposal will have the support of the Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) of Health, Innovation and Research Institute (HIRUZ) to submit and perform the proposed clinical trial.
