Internationaliseringsinitiatieven
De provincie Oost-Vlaanderen hecht veel belang aan de internationaliseringsinitiatieven van de kennisinstellingen en geeft deze al meerdere jaren een duwtje in de rug. In 2023 werden zo bijvoorbeeld acht internationaliseringsprojecten goedgekeurd. Voor enkele voorbeelden zie de poster in bijlage.

Graag zetten we de belangrijkste zaken uit het subsidiereglement nog eens op een rijtje:
Er wordt verwacht dat projecten een bijdrage leveren aan de realisatie van het provinciale clusterbeleid, in het bijzonder aan de volgende clusters:
- De circulaire economie (en dan met name cleantech, biogebaseerde economie, materialen, slimme en duurzame logistiek)
- Zorgeconomie en -innovatie
- (Agro-)voeding
Daarbij komen volgende activiteiten in aanmerking voor financiering:
- Internationale docentenmobiliteit
- Internationalisation@home
- De uitbouw van gemeenschappelijke curricula
- Gezamenlijk onderzoek uitvoeren, waar mogelijk met economische finaliteit
- Het leggen en/of onderhouden van contacten
Projecten kunnen tot € 5.000 per deelnemende Oost-Vlaamse kennisinstelling krijgen.
De geografische focus van de projecten moet strategisch zijn voor zowel de kennisinstelling als voor de provinciale speerpuntclusters.

Het ingevulde aanvraagformulier moet bij de Provincie ingediend worden voor 30 september 2024.

Internationalization initiatives
The province of East-Flanders prioritises the internationalization initiatives of knowledge institutions and has been supporting them for several years. For example, eight internationalization projects were approved in 2023. Some examples are provided in the attached poster.

We would like to summarize the most important points in the subsidy regulations:
Projects are expected to contribute to the realization of the provincial cluster policy, in particular to the following clusters:
- The circular economy (and in particular cleantech, bio-based economy, materials, smart and sustainable logistics)
- Healthcare economics and innovation
- (Agro)food
The following activities are eligible for financing:
- International teacher mobility
- Internationalisation@home
- The development of common curricula
- Conduct joint research, where possible with economic finality
- Establishing and/or maintaining contacts
Projects can receive up to €5,000 per participating East Flemish knowledge institution.
The geographical focus of the projects must be strategic for both the knowledge institution and the provincial spearhead clusters.

The completed application form must be submitted to the Province before September 30, 2024.
