[FWO] Vooraanmelding voor aanvragen FWO middelzware onderzoeksinfrastructuur: 30 juni 2023 / Preregistration for applications FWO medium-scale research infrastructure: 30 June 2023
Welke info?
- Titel, abstract, consortiumsamenstelling, (hoofd)onthaalinstellingen, suggesties voor referenten, te wraken referenten, disciplinecodes, kernwoorden, akkoordverklaring
- In het FWO e-loket gaat het om volgende tabbladen: General, Host Institution, Peer Review, Consent
- In het tabblad Host Institution moet nog geen info over budget gegeven worden. In dit tabblad moeten enkel de gegevens van de promotoren ingevuld worden en de korte CV’s opgeladen.
Hoe de vooraanmelding indienen?
- De hoofdpromotor (promotor-woordvoerder) creëert via het e-loket van FWO een nieuwe aanvraag middelzware onderzoeksinfrastructuur.
- Ten laatste op 30 juni 2023 dient de hoofdpromotor de vooraanmelding in, met enkel de info zoals hierboven vermeld.
- Indiening gebeurt via de knop ‘submit to host institution’.
Waarom een vooraanmelding?
Om samenwerking tussen de universiteiten te stimuleren willen we in een zo vroeg mogelijk stadium mogelijke interesses vanuit andere universiteiten detecteren. Alle ingediende vooraanmeldingen zullen tussen de 5 Vlaamse universiteiten uitgewisseld worden om te kijken of er samenwerkingen over het hoofd werden gezien of onderzoekers nog niet in het consortium werden opgenomen.
Wat met aanvragen voor zware onderzoeksinfrastructuur (> 1 milj. euro)?
Er is geen vooraanmelding nodig voor aanvragen zware onderzoeksinfrastructuur.

Which information?
- Title, abstract, consortium composition, (main) host institutions, suggestions for referees, forbidden referees, discipline codes, keywords, consent
- This means that the following tabs need to be filled in in the FWO e-portal: General, Host Institution, Peer Review, Consent
- In the tab Host Institution no information about the budget is needed. In this tab only the data and short CVs of the promoters needs to be provided.
How to submit the preregistration?
- The PI (promoter-supervisor) creates a new application for medium-scale research infrastructure in the e-portal of FWO.
- On 30 June 2023 at the latest the PI submits the preregistration, with only the information as mentioned above.
- Use the button ‘submit to host institution’ to submit your preregistration.
Why a preregistration?
To stimulate cooperation between the universities we want to detect possible interests from other universities as early as possible. An overview of all preregistrations will be shared among the 5 Flemish universities to see whether collaborations were overlooked or if researchers have not yet been included in the consortium.
What about applications for large-scale research infrastructure (> 1 mio)?
No preregistration is needed for applications for large-scale research infrastructure.
