[FWO] Grant for a long stay at an ERC Grantee abroad

The FWO announces the expansion of the regular outgoing travel grants with a specific “Grant for a long stay at an ERC Grantee abroad”. This mobility grant is an initiative of the European Research Council (ERC) who, just like FWO, wishes to stimulate and support cross-border research in all scientific domains.

For who?
Postdoctoral researchers who hold throughout the entire period of their stay abroad, an appointment of minimum 50% to a university or university hospital in the Flemish Community or to a federal or Flemish scientific institution.

Why?
To perform research within the excellent research environment of a current or previous ERC grantee during a period of more than 3 months and maximum 6 months and thus – in view of a thorough preparation of your own ERG grant application (starting, consolidator or advanced) - to further sharpen your foreign  research experience and optimize your research profile and vision.

What?
Travel expenses (return trip) from Belgium to the foreign host institution (ERC Grantee) and a fixed monthly allowance of € 1.650 during the entire stay abroad.

How to submit?
Within the travel grants FWO implements a system of continuous submission. Researchers have to send their application no later than 3 months before departure to interprog@fwo.be.
