[ENLIGHT] Next round of ENLIGHT calls is open!
To stimulate and support the bottom-up cooperation between the ENLIGHT University Communities, ENLIGHT is launching a second round of calls for joint initiatives.
The collaboration among the ten partners of ENLIGHT is stepping up a gear during the second phase, which began in November 2023. In this phase, a significant portion of the received funding will be allocated to calls to fund bottom-up collaboration between academics from the different partners. To this end, ENLIGHT launches a second round of calls to stimulate the collaboration within ENLIGHT.
ENLIGHT Incubator Grants
What?
The aim of the call is to stimulate the design and upscaling of joint educational across the all three study cycles, in one (or more) of the six ENLIGHT focus areas. The call consists of two strands:
- Preparation and development of joint study programmes (strand A)
- Joint innovative education initiatives (strand B)
Budget & Deadline?
A selected Incubator project will receive a max. budget of 50.000€ (strand A) or 30.000€ (strand B). Deadline for applications is 30 June 2025. A third call is planned in Spring 2026.
ENLIGHT Thematic Networks (ETN)
What?
he aim of the call is to stimulate the creation of interdisciplinary cooperation networks of academics from at least three ENLIGHT universities, who join forces around a specific societal relevant theme, in one (or more) of the six ENLIGHT focus areas to develop joint challenge-driven activities in education, research and service to society.
Budget & deadline?
A network can receive a total amount of €100,000 for a period of 24 months. The budget is meant to cover the coordination and activities of the ETN. Eligible for funding are: purchase costs, personnel costs and (limited) subcontracting costs.
The deadline for this call is June 30, 2025, with selected networks starting from November 1, 2025.
ENLIGHT + seed funding
What?
In addition to the calls for ETNs and Incubator Grants, ENLIGHT also provides space to give new or smaller initiatives a financial boost. The aim of the call is to facilitate the organisation of joint small-scale projects, collaborative events, or workshops, while also encouraging initiatives that actively contribute to the advancement of sustainability practices and the promotion of inclusivity within our academic ecosystem.
Budget & Deadline?
The maximum funding amount and deadlines for implementing the proposed measures may vary depending on your university. See annex of the application guidelines for more information. Eligible fro funding are organizational costs and mobility (travel and accommodation). Deadline for this call is 31 May 2025, more deadlines will be announced later.
